Used three different methods to pack some files. Zip, rar and 7z.

I knew there was going to be a difference but not a difference over 70 megs.

 

Goodbye zip, hello 7z !!

My Movies with MCE

Ive tried the addon for Windows XP Media Center Edition called "My Movies" from this website (http://www.mymovies.name/home.aspx)

The result is actually half good 🙂

 

They have a screenshot page that gives an indication of what you can do with it (http://www.mymovies.name/screenshots.aspx)

Finally took the time to read all the attributes and possibilites for what you can do with rar32, and found the wonderful switch called

-r0 !!

and want to unpack all the files after eachother to another directory without having to run winrar for EACH .rar in each directory. Do like this instead

1. Go the directory you want the files to be in.

2. Fire up cmd and type this rar32 e -r0 d:\download\tv\*

3. Voila ! Suddenly all the files has been unpacked (this takes a while) to the directory you wanted !!!

 

EUREKA !!!

 

Updated my LAN

Just a short list of my LAN

AMD XP 1800+ with 1 GB of RAM running Windows XP, hosting 600GB files

Intel P4 HT 3.2 Ghz with 2 gigs of ram acting as my Testrig, 40 GB disk running XP MCE, VISTA and FEDORA CORE 5

Intel P4 2.0 Ghz with 1 GB of RAM acting as a "normal" office computer. also running XP MCE

 

The playpart of my home is also networked

XBOX 1.4 Limited Edition running the latest version of XBMC with 200GB disk mostly for watching movies and a dancemat for parties and my daughter when she gets old enough to appreciate it.

 

XBOX 360 Premium Edition with nine games, mostly running oblivion

Gamecube – running Zelda games 🙂

 

Dreambox mounted on the AMDmachine to be able to Timeshift and record movies to watch later running the latest Gemini 3.0 build

 

Ohh, and this machine Intel 1.7 Ghz laptop from HP (nx8220) with 1 GB of ram and a 60 GB HD.

 

My internet connection is ADSL 8/1.

 

 

STCC – Swedish Touring Car Championship

Went to the Swedish Touring Car Championshipon the 13th of Aug.

Ive never been to one of these races before. The weather was like it was att the SGP

RAINING.. Kinda cold kinda chilled, but still it was fun to watch the cars go around.

There was also a Ferrarri Challengerace and a MCrace, the MC guys gotta be nuts going at that speed in that rain.

Still fun to watch but the STCC was the big hit of the day, they also made some more laps, and was more exciting.

Speedway Grand Prix Målilla Sweden

I went with my fiancee and father in law to the Speedway Grand Prix in Målilla sweden to watch

the the speedway stars battle for the first place.

And the swede beat the Aussie dude for the title

ANDREAS JONSSON won !!! Go sweden.

Crump is still in the overall lead, but it was fun to see a swede win over jason who is the undisputer leader of this.

Maybe Richardsson will have an heir

 

The weater ? It soared all evening, but the nice part about having VIP tickets it that we got to sit in a tent through the worst weather.

 

And ohh, Andreas got a minor brain concussion two days later when competing in Poland.

to bad. hope he gets well and back to the speedway to fight for luxo stars.
