Today I upgraded to Presentation Server 4.0a
Which worked like a charm (did not apply the Windows 2003 Servicepack 1).
After the installation I had to install four hotfixes per machine, this equals a lot of clicks with the mouse. So I made a small .cmd file to make the patching easier. heres the result.
msiexec /p PSE400W2K3002.msp /passive /norestart /L* patch-%computername%-PSE400W2K3002.msp.log
msiexec /p PSE400W2K3003.msp /passive /norestart /L* patch-%computername%-PSE400W2K3003.msp.log
msiexec /p PSE400W2K3005.msp /passive /norestart /L* patch-%computername%-PSE400W2K3005.msp.log
msiexec /p PSE400W2K3006.msp /passive /L* patch-%computername%-PSE400W2K3006.msp.log
/p for patch, /passive to not have to click next everywhere and /norestart – you guess. The problem that I ran into was that the msiexec is very hard to please if you have your switches at the wrong place.
